BankSA’s TalkFringe, the audience review and feedback site for the Adelaide Fringe, is giving away tickets to some shows on selected nights - including some for A Record or an OBE! The tickets are available for the second night, Wednesday March 5.

All you have to do to be eligible is create an account on the web site; this lets you write reviews, post blog entries and discuss everything Fringe with others on the site. To get your free ticket to the show, just go to the “Free Tickets!” section and look under Comedy in the offers in the second half of fringe. It’s that easy! You can also get tickets to other shows like the interactive murder mystery Death By Chocolate, mental theatrical adventure An Air Balloon Across Antarctica and cabaret including Baggas in 78% Honesty.

What are you waiting for? Get into it!

A Record or an OBE flyerIf you can’t wait for the A Record or an OBE flyers to start showing up in your city, be it Adelaide or Melbourne, then good news! You can download the new, two sided flyer in handy-dandy PDF format right here.

It’s only a measly 4MB download in all its full-colour glory, so it’s definitely small enough to pass on via email, hint hint…

Today the Melbourne International Comedy Festival programme is released with The Age newspaper. You’ll find both A Record or an OBE (under “A”, not “R” as in the online programme) and The Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour listed, and you might even find an extra photograph of Shaolin Punk artistic director Ben McKenzie having a great time from a couple of festivals ago…

Tickets for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival are now on sale, including both A Record or an OBE and the Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour! You can book tickets for OBE with Comedy @ Trades, and of course both shows are also listed in the Festival’s official programme, both online and in print. The print programme will be launched on February 14, when it is included with The Age newspaper. (Note that on the web site, OBE is in the Theatre section, listed under “R” rather than “A”, while the Tour is in the “Stand-Up” section.)

The Man in the Lab Coat web site will be updated over the next week with more information on the Tour, including participating comedians and line-ups for each night, so keep an eye out!

A short clip from A Record or an OBE is now available on YouTube - and at around 51 seconds, it’s a sneak peak at about 2.3% of the whole show! Check it out below.
