A Record or an OBE stars Rob Lloyd and Ben McKenzie can be seen in gigs around Melbourne in the next few weeks! Follow the links for more details.

  • Good Fridays with The Crew! – yes, Melbourne impro comedy troupe The Crew are back with an all-new weekly show on Friday nights at the Princes Entertainment Centre! The line-up for the next couple of nights is yet to be confirmed, but no doubt both Rob Lloyd and Ben McKenzie will make an appearance during the coming weeks. Starts November 2nd.
  • A Minor Collection of Unnatural History – a new exhibition from the collective Omnific Assembly, this “minor collection” is a menagerie of monsters. The exhibition opens at Off the Kerb Gallery in Fitzroy on Friday, November 2nd, and will be opened by Ben McKenzie.
  • Generation Y Should iBother – a political comedy show for the generation that knows only the Howard government, presented by Adam McKenzie and Harley Breen with performances from Tom Gleeson, Wayne Deakin, Richard Marsland and comedy troupe The Hound of The Baskervilles (featuring Rob Lloyd). It’s on Sunday, November 4th at 5pm at Dante’s in Fitzroy; find out more at the event’s Facebook entry.

A Record or an OBE star Rob Lloyd will be appearing at Local Laughs @ Laundry tonight! Along with Adam McKenzie and Tegan Higginbotham Rob will be performing as “The Hound of the Baskervilles”, presenting an hilarious promo for their upcoming Fringe show, Every Film Ever Made. You can also see, as you can every week, some of Melbourne’s best comic talent, including this week Josh Earl, Mat Kenneally, Jess Moir and Duff. You might catch a glimpse of OBE scribe and co-star Ben McKenzie as well…

Yes, it be September 19, that most ridiculous of holidays – Talk Like a Pirate Day. But don’t let the vernacular fool ye – it still be the day o’ Punraiser, the fund raising event featurin’ the stars of A Record or an OBE, Ben McKenzie and Rob Lloyd. Here are those details again:

What: Punraiser! A comedy night in support of the RMIT Fine Arts Graduate Photography exhibition, featuring The Bedroom Philosopher, Josh Earl, Andrew McClelland, Lawrence Leung, Bec Hill, Hound of the Baskervilles (featuring Rob Lloyd) and Ben McKenzie.
