Melbourne Fringe 2010 officially launched!

Yes, the Fringe is go! You can now find information on all the wonderful shows and events at the official Melbourne Fringe Festival web site – including, of course, McGuffin and Dungeon Crawl. Tickets are on sale now, so get in while you can!

McGuffin and Dungeon Crawl update

Rehearsals for McGuffin, our new hybrid impro theatre project, are underway, so let me publicly welcome aboard our fantastic cast: Chris Broadstock, Sean Fabri, Gina Morley and Kate O’Neill. It’s a very exciting project, I hope to see you there in September! Watch this space for more details over the next two months.

We’re also preparing for not one, but two return seasons of the Comedy Festival hit Dungeon Crawl – first in Melbourne for the Fringe Festival, then another we hope to confirm very shortly. So it’s all impro, all the time here at Shaolin Punk for the forseeable future – though it’s not your parent’s impro, that’s for sure…

Post Comedy Festival quick update

It’s been a while since the Festival ended in Melbourne, and it’s time to say thank you to all the people who came along to +1 Sword, Dungeon Crawl and the Museum Comedy programme and Melbourne Museum. It was a great Festival for Shaolin Punk, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

+1 Sword has been such a lot of fun that we’re planning to tour it around Australia – and maybe beyond. At the moment nothing is set in stone, but we’re at least hoping to do shows in Sydney and Brisbane later in the year, and probably a short return season in Melbourne. Stay tuned for more info!

Meanwhile Museum Comedy is presenting its first ever interstate show this week, with the Mythic Creatures Comedy Tour at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney! One show only, this Saturday at 6 PM. Find out more at the Museum Comedy web site.
