Today the Melbourne International Comedy Festival programme is released with The Age newspaper. You’ll find both A Record or an OBE (under “A”, not “R” as in the online programme) and The Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour listed, and you might even find an extra photograph of Shaolin Punk artistic director Ben McKenzie having a great time from a couple of festivals ago…

Tickets for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival are now on sale, including both A Record or an OBE and the Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour! You can book tickets for OBE with Comedy @ Trades, and of course both shows are also listed in the Festival’s official programme, both online and in print. The print programme will be launched on February 14, when it is included with The Age newspaper. (Note that on the web site, OBE is in the Theatre section, listed under “R” rather than “A”, while the Tour is in the “Stand-Up” section.)

The Man in the Lab Coat web site will be updated over the next week with more information on the Tour, including participating comedians and line-ups for each night, so keep an eye out!

Shaolin Punk and Melbourne Museum are proud to present the Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival!

Join Ben McKenzie (the Man in the Lab Coat) and the cream of Melbourne’s geeky comedians for science, history and laughter as you wander the spooky silent halls of Melbourne Museum after closing time. There you’ll meet such amazing inmates as CSIRAC, a room-sized computer which couldn’t beat your mobile phone at chess, and Amargasaurus, the dinosaur with a mohawk who predated punk by 120 million years.

Caution: you may learn something on this tour…
