The opening night of Comedy @ Trades was a great success, and the packed audience attending A Record or an OBE was in fine form! And, in perhaps the first review posted for the Comedy Festival (not counting those based on previews), we already have a review from Australian Stage Online, who described OBE as “inspired Goodies silliness”.

The Goodies Rule – OK!, the international official Goodies fan club, have included in the latest edition of their newsletter (The Goodies Fan Club Clarion and Globe, 143) a review of A Record or an OBE. Says Melbourne correspondent and newsletter editor Brett Allender, “the dialogue, the delivery and the character personifications made their roles seem crystal clear and authentic … plenty of flashes of Goodies-inspired humour and silliness which had the audience thoroughly engrossed”.
