Last night of OBE!
Well, this is it ladies and gentlemen - I know some of you like to wait until the last minute, and here it is. OBE's final Melbourne performance is tonight at 6:30 PM in the Evatt Room at Trades Hall. There are still tickets available, so grab 'em online or buy them at the door.
OBE on RRR tonight?
The Trades Radio Variety Hour, recorded live as part of Comedy @ Trades, airs its last episode tonight at 7pm on RRR - and A Record or an OBE stars Ben McKenzie and Rob Lloyd may feature as guests! Hear an excerpt from the play and be surprised by the musical tangents onto which the boys' interview will wander with the assistance of Casey Bennetto and the Half-Assed Three - depending on which of the episodes recorded this week will go to air.
You can tune in if you're in Melbourne on 102.7 FM, but you can also listen via streaming audio on the RRR web site.
Extra late show added!
If you've been wanting to see A Record or an OBE this festival but the early 6:30 timeslot has prevented you, then you're in luck! Shaolin Punk is happy to announce an extra late performance at 11 PM on Friday April 11. It'll be in the Old Council Chambers, which has a bigger capacity than the Evatt Room, so we should be able to fit in all of you late-night folk! Note that the 6:30 PM performance has not been altered and will also be on that night.
Get your tickets via the Comedy @ Trades box office at Trades Hall, or watch the Comedy @ Trades web site for the new session to appear.
Last days for the Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour and OBE!
The Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour finishes this week, and after some of the great reviews we've had from The Groggy Squirrel and UK comedy site Chortle, our last two nights are sure to be a great success. So come on down! Tonight, Ben McKenzie, Bec Hill and Sue-Ann Post will be your guides, and on Friday, Ben and Bec will instead be joined by Kent Valentine.
It's the last days too for A Record or an OBE, the what if play about hit 70s British comedy group The Goodies. OBE plays this Saturday and Sunday, the 5th and 6th of April, and then every night next week until the 13th of April, with no show on Monday. Remember Tuesday April 8th is your last chance for a cheap $10 ticket!
For those of you unable to come to the show due to its early evening timeslot at 6:30 PM, there are plans for a late show at 11 PM on Friday, April 11th; watch this space for details!
A Record or an OBE at the Comedy Festival
The Adelaide Fringe season of A Record or an OBE has finished, even if the heat wave that accompanied it has not. But that just means it's time for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival season to begin! It all kicks off on Wednesday, March 19 - tomorrow!
It's also nearly time for Shaolin Punk's other Comedy festival project, the Melbourne Museum Comedy Tour. If you thought it was inappropriate to laugh in a museum, get ready for a shock! You can find out more on the Man in the Lab Coat web site.
