Our season at Gluttony for the Adelaide Fringe Festival has reached the halfway point! Two parties of brave adventurers have fulfilled their destiny, and, in the words of our lovely (and very nerdy) Heckler review, two audiences have ’failed their will save versus hilarity and taken maximum comedy damage’.
On Friday March 8, in the mystical land of Moshpit, 4Chan the (Internet) Troll (Nicholas J Johnson), Bazza the Quidditch-scholarship bogan (Danny McGinlay), the cursed noble hero Ginger Knight Biscuit and sneak thief Paddy O’Furniture (Patrick and Ryan of Sound & Fury) saved the town of Salisbury from the racist red dragon Pauline Hanson! Along the way they battled goblins, wolves, terrible puns and reality television, and discovered love, redemption, old age and Unicorn milk cheese.
On Sunday March 10, in Central Earth, Absinthia the Green Fairy with razor-sharp wings and serendipitous clumsiness (Sarah Jones), Dolfin, a thief who sucked at stabbing but was a champion bore and karate expert (Jon Bennett), Barry, an elf nurse with the power of empathy (Alasdair Tremblay-Birchall) and Pork, a shape-changing druid whose transformations never went according to plan (Ryan of Sound & Fury) saved an old man from the curse placed on him by an evil necromancer! They fought zombies, evaded traps, made a boat out of kitten fur and even travelled through a magical wardrobe to a land full of mystical pants.
Only two shows remain, this Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16. Book your tickets now or just come on down to Gluttony to join us for a ‘dice-rollicking good time’!
